Diet Calculators & Charts

BMR Calculator
The purpose of the BMR (basal metabolic rate) calculator is to gain an understanding of how many calories your
body burns each day in order to stay at the same weight.
For example, you learn after using the bmr calculator that your body burns 2,000 calories per day. The
calculator will show you that if you cut 500 calories per day, you will consistently lose 1 pound per week.

BMI Calculator
The BMI (body mass index) calculator is a "relative" calculator. It takes your height and weight into
consideration, and it calculates a value based on these two metrics.
Using this value, you can compare yourself to a standard of fitness for a person of your height. You can then
determine if you are underweight, normal, overweight or obese.

BMI Chart
When you use the BMI calculator, you end up with a value called your BMI value. Now you have to use that number
to determine your level of fitness.
That's where the BMI chart comes into play. The BMI chart lays out the value ranges to help you determine if you
are underweight, normal, overweight or obese.
